FAQs
What is a telehealth consultation?
This allows you to receive medical care from the comfort of your home without needing to attend a clinic in person. We recommend video consultations as they simplify identity verification.
How do I book a telehealth appointment?
What services can I access via telehealth?
See the links at the bottom of this page for detailed information on each service.
Do I need special software or equipment?
Do I need to complete an onboarding process the first time I book?
What if I need a physical examination or in-person care?
Can your doctors prescribe medication online?
Yes. Our doctors can issue prescriptions during your telehealth consultation following a real-time clinical assessment.
Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy as an eScript QR code with no paper required.
For a full list of what we commonly prescribe, and what we are unable to prescribe via telehealth, please see our Prescriptions page here.
Can I get a repeat prescription online?
Yes, in most cases. Our doctors can renew prescriptions for stable, ongoing conditions following a consultation to confirm your treatment is still appropriate.
Repeat prescribing is never automatic and your doctor will always review your situation first. For full details see our Prescriptions & Repeat Prescriptions page here.
Do you prescribe semaglutide for weight management?
Yes. Our GPs can prescribe semaglutide as part of a medically supervised weight management plan following a real-time telehealth consultation.
For full eligibility criteria, side effects, and what the consultation involves, please see our Weight Management page here.
Can an online GP provide a specialist referral?
Yes. Our GPs can issue specialist referrals following a real-time telehealth consultation, in exactly the same way as an in-person GP.
A referral will be provided where your doctor determines it is clinically appropriate. For information on which specialists we refer to, how long referrals last, and how to request one, please see our Specialist Referrals page here.
Do you bulk-bill?
However, we can provide referrals for some bulk-billed services, including Mental Health Care Plans and psychology services. From January 2027, we also plan to offer bulk-billed urgent care consultations for eligible after-hours and weekend appointments, subject to confirmation of Medicare eligibility criteria.
For full details on fees, Medicare rebates and bulk bulling eligibility, please see our pricing page here.
I do not hold a Medicare card. Can I still get a prescription?
Yes. You will be charged the private fee advertised on our website.
If you are on a working or student visa, we recommend obtaining an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI), which allows you to receive eScripts digitally.
For information on how to obtain an IHI and whether you may be eligible for Medicare, please see our International Patients & Medicare page here.
What is your cancellation policy?
You are entitled to a refund or fee waiver if your doctor does not attend, if there is a significant delay of more than 30 minutes, or if a technical failure prevents the consultation from proceeding. You will be charged the full fee if you do not attend, arrive more than 10 minutes late, or if your consultation cannot proceed because you have requested a medication we are unable to prescribe via telehealth.
Cancellation policies may be updated from time to time. Please check our full cancellation policy page here before booking.
What if the doctor is running late?
Can I get a medical certificate for more than one day?
Is my information kept private and secure?
How do I make a complaint?
Our doctors are registered with AHPRA and practise in accordance with the Medical Board of Australia’s Good Medical Practice guidelines and Telehealth Consultations with Patients guidelines.
