Cancellation Policy
What is your cancellation policy?
In Australia, online GP clinics generally have stricter cancellation policies than physical clinics because their business model relies on high-volume, automated scheduling. The standard policy for seedoc.com.au is as follows.
When you don’t pay
You are entitled to a refund (or a fee waiver) if:
- One of our doctors is a “no show”. This happens occasionally due to urgent, complex or very rarely an emergency case in the patient/patients before you. If the doctor fails to call you within a reasonable timeframe (usually 30 minutes past the window), you can request a cancellation and refund.
- Technical Issues: If the platform’s app or video link fails and the consultation cannot proceed.
- Clinical Suitability: If the doctor realises a few minutes into the call that you actually need to go to an Emergency Department or need to see an in-person GP for a physical exam, they will often void the charge (at the doctor’s discretion).
When you will be charged
- Requesting restricted medications: If you book an appointment specifically to get “Schedule 8 or Schedul 4” drugs (like strong painkillers or benzos) and the doctor refuses, you will still be charged for the doctor’s time.
- No-shows: If the doctor calls or starts the video link and you do not answer, you will be charged the full fee.
- Late to the consult: seedoc.com.au will give you a 5–10-minute grace period. After that, the appointment is marked as a “no-show.”
Note: Cancellation policies can change frequently. Always double-check the specific terms on our cancellation page before you hit pay.
